New Shoes

If you haven't noticed lately, Cole is (finally) wearing some new shoes.  I had to secretly throw these in the trash after he refused to let me put anything else on his feet for almost a year - with church clothes, play clothes, and everything in between!  Seriously, he loved these shoes - and it shows!!  They served him well, but it was time to move on to a better (and bigger) pair.  I'll try and capture his new shoes in a picture soon - they're cute (and clean!)

I had to take a picture of them, since I didn't want to actually save them - they were too smelly and nasty.  Don't worry, I won't take pictures of all the shoes Cole wears as he grows up - they won't always be cute and small :-)  Welcome to the world of boys absolutely destroying their clothes, I guess!

Play-dough Creations

About twice a month I'm willing to get out the Play-Dough and all the utensils that go along with it.  (I have to be in just the right mood and not have recently mopped the floor - a job that almost inevitably follows an afternoon of Play-Dough!)

This most recent round of Play-Dough resulted in some very cute creations.  Laine made a two-scoop ice cream cone with colorful sprinkles.

Mead made some kind of a multi-layered snake family.

And Cole was probably more excited about playing with the utensils than the Play-Dough itself - a decision I did not mind at all!

This is how it's done

Not wanting to become bored with regular, old basketball, Cole has added a new element to his game...

shooting while jumping on the trampoline!  He's got some mad ball skills!!

Daddy/Daughter Fun Night

The girls' school had their first Daddy/Daughter Fun Night a few weeks ago.  They were excited to get all dressed up and even asked Daddy to wear a tie!  They looked great!

Cuteness

Something about Cole wearing a collared shirt makes him look so handsome!  I love it!!

Ice Skating

The past several years I've taken Laine ice skating one time each winter, just to expose her to something new (and because I like ice skating).  Laine wasn't interested in skating this year, but Mead was old enough to give it a try.  She wobbled a lot at first, but then she got her bearings and did well (with the help of the bucket).  If nothing else, she sure looked cute out there!
