Rolling, rolling

Mead has learned how to roll from her back to her tummy, and she does it as much as she can.  Sometimes she gets stuck as a result, but it didn't seem to keep her from sleeping here.

Zooimagination

After hearing so many great things about Zooimagination, we finally made a trip of our own.  This free hands-on activity center at the zoo was wonderful!  Laine especially enjoyed playing with the craft scissors and the water table - probably because she doesn't get to do either of those things at home!

My little ladybugs

Laine loves ladybugs.  And she loved wearing this dress as much as she could last summer.  In fact, she asked all winter long if she could wear it to church.  So once the weather turned warm enough we brought it out of the closet again.  And this time Mead joined her with a dress to match!

Tummy time

I rolled Mead onto her belly for some tummy time, and Laine decided to join her... by laying on top of her!  What sisterly affection :-)

Safety First!

Okay, so it's not that I'm afraid that Laine would hurt herself playing in the sand... she and Nathan had been riding bikes and decided to switch to the sandbox.  Never mind taking off the helmets!!

The gardens

This morning we took our first trip to the Botanical Gardens since last year.  As always it was beautiful.  Ty and Maggie joined us for the morning, playing in the children's garden and having a picnic lunch.  We look forward to going again soon to see more flowers in bloom.

3 months

Mead is three months old - hard to believe time has gone by so quickly!  She is smiling and cooing a lot and is starting to reach out to grab things she sees.  She has rolled over one time, but that was a few weeks ago and we haven't seen it again.  We often see her roll up onto her side, but then she flops back down to her back.  In the process of doing this she ends up spinning herself around.  Something like a really slow breakdance, I guess!

She is always so excited to see us, as though she's amazed we are still here.  What a cutie and a joy - we're so blessed to have her in our family.
