The scary parts

The girls love watching princess movies: Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc. These movies tend to have a "scary part" at some point, so the girls need a little bravery while watching. Recently they've taken to snuggling together for strength. Precious!

Pile on

The girls piled on Daddy while he was sitting in the kitchen, and then they wanted me to take a picture. Here's the series that I got...

Hold on tight

Cole has just recently started grabbing things. Up until now his hands have been in little fists most of the time. So today I got out his tagged lovie that he got as a gift, and he grabbed right on. The world of reaching for toys is probably not too far behind!

Birthday gifts

Mead got a couple things that were a big hit this year for her birthday. The first is an indoor trampoline, which both Mead and Laine love. It's been a great source of fun and a good way to let out a little energy from time to time.

And Mead also got some big stringing beads. She has enjoyed making necklaces and meticulously placing each bead on the string in just the right order. It's so neat to see her personality come out in new ways as she gets older.

Weight check

I brought Cole back in today for a weight check to make sure he's gaining some ounces. And he is! He weighs 13 lbs. 1 oz., which is about 15% on the weight chart. That's an improvement from being 5% last time. I plan to keep giving him an extra bottle at each feeding for another month, until I bring him in for his 4 month check-up. Then we'll see how he's doing and whether or not he still needs the bottles. I'm encouraged that he gained a little bit!

All lined up

Here's my wonderful family, all sitting in a row, relaxing at home. So precious!

Sledding

More snow in St. Louis this week... good thing the girls enjoy playing in it and we have a big hill for sledding right next door to us. We really did have fun sledding - don't let Mead's stoic face fool you!
