My kids love to swing, especially when they all get to do it together!

I've heard of this happening before, but none of my kids has actually fallen asleep while eating... until now.

Sunday mornings in the church nursery are exhausting for the little ones!

Apple picking

I got to join Laine on her field trip yesterday to go apple picking. All the kids and teachers got to ride on the school bus, which was probably the highlight of the trip for most of the kids!

It was a hot day, but Laine had a good time picking apples, which I used to make an apple crisp last night. Yum!

And everyone had fun playing on the farm playground afterward too.

Final days of summer

The weather has turned cooler this week - in the mid 70's. It is so pleasant! We've enjoyed the sunny days of summer, but it's always nice to have a little break from the heat. Here's some final pictures of fun at the pool.

Going to the pool this summer helped keep us sane! The kids had a great time, and they each became a little more comfortable in the water.

Mead and Cole loved splashing in the fountains.

And Laine enjoyed swimming as much as possible - she's almost completely independent!

Shaving cream

This summer someone suggested letting the kids play with shaving cream as a fun, though messy, activity. Since then I've had a cheap can of shaving cream available, and I just send the girls outside to play with it when they ask.

They always end up with it all over their bodies, but they have great fun in the process. And it's easy to hose off!
