Mead turned a week old on Tuesday, and I was supposed to go to class that night. I am taking a children's literature class, which I am excited about, but leaving that night seemed a bit daunting. The next day was also supposed to be my first day at home by myself with both girls since Penny had to go to class for most of the day. But God, in His graciousness, decided to send two snow days! So we got to stay home and enjoy the beautiful snow and time together as a family.
Penny and Laine had a blast sledding down the hill by our house.
Laine also rode with other kids in Gulf Drive. Here's a great action shot compliments of the Seilbacks.
And a glimpse of Laine enjoying the snow in more ways than one!
Laine is in the infatuation stage of having a baby sister. Whenever Mead is awake and accessible Laine is right near by. She's been pretty good so far about being gentle and sweet. We'll see how long this peak interest lasts!
At 9:21 Mead Elise Pennylegion was brought into the world. Kat progressed so quickly following the epidural that we're not sure that it really had any effect, none the less, Kat did great!
Mead weighs 8 lbs 2 oz, that's 3 oz less than Laine. We're not sure how long she is yet because she hasn't be brought from the nursery, but she is healthy. Here are a few pics - there will be more to come later.
