Halloween Pumpkins!

Penny loves to carve our pumpkin each year, and it seems he gets more creative each time.

This year he did two pumpkins - one for the school (the pelican) and one for us.

I also copied an idea I saw and made some milk jug pumpkins.

Penny and Nan are planning to take the girls trick-or-treating while Cole and I hang out at home. Costume pictures to follow soon.

Going home

We came home yesterday - always a trip of mixed emotions. It's so nice to have all the help at the hospital, but it's also nice to get home to familiar surroundings and start trying to establish "normal" life again.

Proud papa trying to comfort Cole.

It worked!

All bundled up, ready to go. Let the adventure begin!

Nan visits

My mom ("Nan") arrived Thursday afternoon to offer some much appreciated help as we all adjust to having Cole at home.

Thanks Mom! We're so glad you're here.

Close-ups

Here's a few more... who can resist such cuteness!

Awake... and then a few seconds later... asleep. So it goes.

Look at that fuzzy blond hair!

First meeting

Penny brought the girls over to the hospital for lunch today to meet Cole. Laine was so excited when she walked in - ran right over and gave Cole a hug. Mead was a little unsure about what was going on. But once she saw Cole in my arms she pointed and said, "Baby!"

Excited big sisters (and Daddy).

He's here!

Cole Atticus Pennylegion was born this morning at 1:58 a.m. He is 9 lbs. 8 oz. and 21 and 1/4 inches long! Like our other kids labor was fast but went well. Here's a few initial pictures. More to come throughout the day!

Big boy - nice and healthy!

Playing outside

It has been so nice out lately that the girls have been asking to play in our front yard a lot. They mostly just chase each other around and lay in the grass. It's fun to watch them having a good time together. I finally remembered to bring my camera out too.
