Mead's Birthday Party

Mead's birthday party consisted of inviting her best friend, Mary, over for dinner, along with Mary's family.

The kids' table was almost full, just between our two families! Cole was toddling around in the background.

Blowing out the birthday candles is serious business.

Mead and Mary, post-cake, with icing on the face to prove it.

Frustration opening presents...

Turns to joy once it is accomplished!

Miniature My Little Ponies - a huge hit in our house.

Thanks for coming, Hathaways, we had a great time!

Happy Birthday Mead!

Yesterday (Jan 20th) Mead turned 3! She has had a great birthday weekend.

We started the morning with the traditional birthday muffin.

She was so excited to celebrate and open presents!

Gone Fishin' was a big birthday hit - for both Mead and Laine.

And here's the ladybug cake I made for Mead's birthday dinner. It was a lot of fun to make, and everyone enjoyed it.

More pictures of Mead's dinner party coming soon - I forgot to pull out my camera, but a friend captured the moment for us.

All packed in

We've had extra boxes and buckets lying around the house lately, and the kids have loved climbing inside.

Aren't they cute?

Look who's walking!

I haven't gotten a chance to mention it yet, but Cole started walking over Christmas break. He had taken a few steps here and there, but while we were all home after Christmas he really perfected his skills.

He can even stand up in the middle of a room without having to pull up on anything. What a big boy!

He is determined to keep up with me, creating a little shadow as I walk around the house. So fun!

Art

Laine is getting more detailed in her painting and drawing lately. Most recently she duplicated this picture she saw. Pretty cool!

Birthday party fun

Laine went to a friend's birthday party this past weekend, and she had a great time. There are only 4 girls in her class of 12 kids at school, so these girls have become good friends.

Girls never need a reason to dress up, but the tea party provided the perfect excuse to be fancy.

They learned proper table etiquette and manners, compliments of the book Fancy Nancy: Tea Parties.

Such fun!

Siblings

Laine, Mead, and Cole all love having one another around. There's no denying it!
