Baby update - 39 1/2 weeks

I went back to the doctor today... no major progress.  I am now "1 to 2 centimeters" dilated.  I think Dr. Jewell was being generous just to encourage me!  Anyway, I set up an official induction date for January 20th, which is a week after my due date.  I have two doctor's appointments before then, so we'll see how things are going each time.  Please pray with us that Mead would come quickly so I don't need to be induced.  If I end up being induced, pray that I wouldn't be anxious about it.  Thanks!

Getting ready for baby

We've been pulling out baby gadgets this week as we get ready for Mead's arrival.  Laine has been busy putting everything to work with her stuffed animals.  I think she's excited about using these things for her sister soon!

Fire pit fun

This winter has been a bit colder than previous ones, but we've still managed to get the fire pit out a few times. 

Laine joined us for a few minutes recently and seemed to really enjoy the fire.  Maybe she's going to be a pyro like her mom!  As long as she doesn't destroy anything I'm fine with it.

Baby update

I went back to the doctor today.  I'm officially 11 days away from my due date.  No real progress so far... 1 cm along, which is where I've been for the past two weeks.  My mom is flying in on January 16th, so I went ahead and tentatively scheduled an induction for January 20th if need be.  Before that happens though I'll have several more doctors visits, a couple non-stress tests, and an ultrasound, assuming I go past my due date like I did with Laine.  Like Dr. Jewell said, maybe just getting all these appointments scheduled will mean that I won't have to actually go to them.  Let's hope so!  We're looking forward to Mead's arrival and trying to be patient in the meantime.

Magic House

Several times in the last few weeks we've been able to take Laine to the Magic House.  A friend of ours lent me her season pass, so the normal entrance fee was non-existent for us.  We tried to make the most of this free activity while we could. 

Laine loved all the hands on things to do, especially the giant sand box and the water table.

Every time we went Laine discovered new things to do like shopping at the grocery store, cooking pizza in the restaurant, and making delicious meals in kitchen using the oven. 

Thanks Carrie!  We had a great time several times over.

Snuggling
